The Prince of Asturias, Del Bosque, and the example of a leader
This weekend was awarded the Prince of Asturias Awards. Including one particularly exciting: a "Red" for making us dream, to be able to join that what politicians seem not to want, for giving us wings, to convey that any goal is attainable if you're a team and put your heart, because we too are worth it.
An award well deserved, in the end after much bickering with the mega coaches, collected nine players representing the 23 that got us to touch the sky in South Africa. Casillas, Xavi, Llorente, Javi Martínez, Marchena, Capdevila, Jesús Navas, Queen and Mata were the privileged ones who were in Oviedo on Saturday, with Vicente del Bosque to the head.
Del Bosque has always demonstrated a practical and without ostentation, the other values \u200b\u200bthat fill the mouth, again it was the example of many of the officers and supposed leaders of our organizations should learn.
With his characteristic humility, and the naturalness of who makes a daily activity, Vicente del Bosque has signed another big chapter to his legend of a great leader. Having invited to attend the awards ceremony on Luis Aragones, who as we all remember was during the World's at stake and criticizing the Salamanca, was not satisfied with it, and in his speech thanked him for his great contribution to the success in South Africa Selection. He attributed the merit of victory Aragonés, and the great team of players, as if he had not even been there.
And last but not least, when it came out to collect the award, Vicente del Bosque personally approached the chair of Luis Aragones to ask him to accompany them to share this unique moment.
Chapeau! Spectacular! This is the humility of a leader. This is to serve the team, is able to share the success, is to value others. These details are what make a person great, are those who carve the authority of a leader. This is an example so powerful that marks the style of a team, which charts the course for those coming back. An example that leaves no one indifferent. Not even bad bosses, bad politicians or those who think themselves better than others. If only for a few seconds because someone has managed to put before a mirror to reflect their shame. Del Bosque Grande!
Del Bosque may lacks glamor, as some English sports executives blamed him in the past, but certainly its human size and quality as a leader is available to very few. Are we looking for references? Let Del Bosque!
